Are you a YESHUA Denier?

Anyone who knows me, knows I really like to fish. My Dad taught me and I miss the times that we would go together and now anytime YAHWEH blesses me with the opportunity, I continue enjoying this sport. One of the best things about sport fishing is that on the boat there is an opportunity to meet people from various cities and even from other countries. There is nothing more satisfying than throwing that pole in the water and chopping it up over scripture while waiting for that first tug. In 2019 I was still partially sleep, waking up a bit, but still groggy. On 9/9/2019, I went fishing with my nephew and we met a guy who engaged in a discussion with us regarding the state of the world today and what our Father in Heaven thinks about it all. We were nearing the end of the trip and I wanted the conversation to last forever. We were in agreement on everything and it was so refreshing to see the world through the lens of someone else whose eyes are wide open. I felt that it was absolutely a divine meeting especially after finding out that this person lived in the city next door to where I work, so he was local to me. It was all so perfect until I confidently stated that while the world gives thanks and praise to “God” not everyone worships the same “God” as my “God” has a name and it’s “Jesus”. He looked at me grimacing and his face said it all. It was as if I could read his mind in which he said, “She is still sleep and doesn’t know as much as I thought she did.” If that is the case, then he was right.

The beautiful thing about my interaction with that guy is that he didn’t preach to me, he just simply said that is not his name and indicated that I need more studying. My initial reaction was that he was a Hotep, black is black, and I’m black, Kemet believing YESHUA denier and I needed to throw some scriptures at him. However something deeper in me along with his calm demeanor and facial expression compelled me to know without a doubt, that it was I who was somehow lacking in my beliefs and understanding of what it is I believed. I asked him what church he went to since he lives in Moreno Valley, it’s close enough for me to attend as well. He said he didn’t go to a church and that he follows along with some teachings via an online ministry. It was 2019, only 3 years ago and at that time this concept of following an online ministry was foreign to me. Regardless, I was still interested and even though he exchanged information with my nephew, the information about the ministry was lost along the way. However I know now that it was YAHWEH who sent David on that fishing trip, on that day. I at least remember his name was David; and I am now positive we had a conversation about YAHWEH because David was sent to plant a seed in me, rather than me in him.

Fast forward to today, I am still learning, still growing in the ways of our Father YAHWEH and currently reading in the Book of Daniel. Daniel is where it all began for me and I believe that David planted the seed in me that YAHWEH watered through a documentary on the prophecies in the book of Daniel. Now in addition to the kingdoms in the book of Daniel that line up historically with the Kingdoms we are taught about in school, I now realize that scripture is a true Historical living document. If the time periods of when these kingdoms reigned aligns with what we have been taught, then why would everything else in it be a lie? It’s more than likely what we have been taught has been altered based on truths written in this book, as the scriptures came first. So in my walk I stay mindful that I don’t know everything and continue to study and pray that the RUACH HA’KODESH continues to teach and guide me as I weigh all that I hear and learn from others against scripture.

Daniel chapter 9 reminds me of a group of people I interact with on Instagram and while at one time as explained above, I was asleep myself lacking understanding, I have never denied the existence, death or resurrection of our Messiah and King YESHUA as this group does. One particular person I began following because he posts a lot of information regarding the world, what is going on in it today and how it aligns with scripture. One thing I noticed lacking is that it’s hard for him to be accurate when aligning with scripture because most of what is going on today day is foretold in the New Testament. So it made sense when I found out a few months ago that he does not even believe in the NT or YESHUA. I refer to him and his type as YESHUA deniers. I have gone back and forth with those of this belief on the entire chapter of Isaiah 53, and how YESHUA is mentioned in Exodus 23:20-22 Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you into the land which I have prepared. 21: Heed Him and obey His voice; do not strive against Him; perhaps He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is upon Him. We know this because YAHWEH’S name is upon Him, YAHWEH’S name is in YESHUA’S name. Let’s review the etymology of the name YESHUA. The English Jesus is a transliteration of the Greek Ἰησοῦς, or Iēsoûs. In translations of the Hebrew Bible into Ancient Greek, Iēsoûs was used to represent the Hebrew/Aramaic name YESHUA, a derivation of the earlier Hebrew Yehoshua, or Joshua. Both names mean 'YAH saves' As a result, it is a commonly accepted fact within academia that Jesus' native Hebrew/Aramaic name was Yeshua. So now understanding this, we see that all the other Malak or (Angels) have El in their names, i.e. GabriEL, RaphaEL or MichaEL . Also, this particular Malak (Angel) has the ability to pardon transgressions who else has this ability. Yes, you would be correct if you said YESHUA.

YESHUA is also spoken of often in the Psalms particularly Psalm 45:6-7 Thy throne, O ELOHIM, is for ever and ever; the sceptre of they kingdom is a right sceptre. 7: You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore ELOHIM, your ELOHIM, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows. So it’s no surprise that yet another book full of prophecies serves as another witness to our Messiah among so many in the Old Testament. The book of Daniel chapters 7 and 9 speak clearly about the coming Messiah. Daniel 7:13-14 says: I saw in the night visions, and behold, one like the Son of man came upon the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him before Him. 14: And there was given Him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom is one that shall not be destroyed. Who else could these verses be about? There is no doubt that this speaks of YESHUA. Then in Daniel 9:23-25 Gabriel came and spoke to Daniel and it says starting with verse 22: And he came and talked to me and said to me, O Daniel, I am now come forth to instruct you, so that you might understand. 23: At the beginning of your prayer, the world came forth and I have come to make it known to you; for you are greatly beloved; therefore discern the matter and understand the vision. 24: Seventy times seven weeks are determined upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish the transgressions and to make an end of sins and for the forgiveness of the iniquity and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to fulfill the vision of the prophets and to give the most holy to Messiah. 25: Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the word to restore and build Jerusalem, to the coming of the Messiah the King shall be seven times seven weeks, and sixty-two times seven weeks; the people shall return and build Jerusalem, its streets, and its broad ways at the end of the appointed times. 26: After sixty-two times seven weeks, Messiah shall be slain, and the city shall be without a ruler; and the holy city shall be destroyed together with the coming king; and the end thereof shall be a mass exile and at the end of the war, desolations are determined. For people who only read the Old Testament, I’m not quite sure what they do with these verses.

So again, how is one able to accurately speak on end times if they disregard the New Testament when much of the end time prophecies going on today takes place in Matthew, Timothy and Revelation? Further, if a person who disregards the NT but still takes into account the prophecies in the Old Testament, then how can the foretelling of our Savior, Messiah and King be ignored? It is not wise to pick and choose what to believe within the scriptures. Either all of it is true or all of it is lies; we either believe all of it, or none of it at all. All throughout scripture it is clear who YAHWEH is and it is clear who YESHUA is and that we must choose to believe and serve if we want any chance of an eternal life with them.

To conclude, I am reminded of one of my favorite scriptures Joshua 24:14-15 And if it seems evil to you to serve YAHWEH, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the river Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve YAHWEH.

As for the YESHUA deniers, please turn from your ways of serving the god of lies; may the scales fall from your eyes that you may come to believe that YESHUA and YAHWEH are one.

Shalom!
