Praising YAHWEH, Always

Welp, I made it. I have been in TN a full year living through winter, spring, summer and fall. There have been ups and many downs but that is just life. YESHUA said in John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. (CJB) I live in expectation of troubles coming regardless where I live and although living here has been everything I could hope for in YAHWEH, scripture is always true. Therefore I cling to YESHUA so that in Him, I may have peace.

Psalm 34:2-9 I will bless YAHWEH at all times; His praise will always be in my mouth. 3: When I boast, it will be about YAHWEH; the humble will hear of it and be glad. 4: Proclaim with me the greatness of YAHWEH; let us exalt His name together. 5: I sought YAHWEH, and He answered me; He rescued me from everything I feared. 6: They looked to Him and grew radiant; their faces will never blush for shame. 7: This poor man cried; YAHWEH heard and saved him from all his troubles. 8: The angel of YAHWEH, who encamps around those who fear Him, delivers them. 9: Taste, and see that YAHWEH is good. How blessed are those who take refuge in Him! (CJB)

The above Psalm is a beautiful prayer of praise to our Father YAHWEH written by King David during a time of struggle in his life. In 1 Samuel Chapter 21 we read where Saul was seeking David to kill him so he fled to Akhish king of Gat; I believe to hide amongst the Philistines. However they immediately recognized him saying “isn’t this David who killed tens of thousands” David became afraid of the king and immediately started acting like he was insane scratching at the gate and drooling. The king said to his servants “can’t you see this man is crazy? I’m surrounded by enough crazy people, I don’t want one in my home.“ David was allowed to safely leave and sought refuge in a cave. This may have been the time he wrote the above Psalm. It’s a beautiful example of what my immediate response should be during difficult times.

It is so easy for me to get caught up in the details of life allowing it to take my focus off of what is real and important. In these times I read a Psalm like the one above or an encouraging scriptural account. I try to find one that relates to my current situation and stand on the promises in it. YAHWEH truly does have a promise that we can stand on for every situation we are going through. The scriptures are full of stories of people living thousands of years ago going through the exact same things we do today. The only thing that is different is technology. We drive cars instead of riding in chariots pulled by horses; but we are still people dealing with spiritual warfare, and the enemy is the same now as he was then pulling the same wool over the eyes of humanity. Reading and meditating on the word of YAHWEH like He tells me to do in His word; equips me to fight in this battle of spiritual warfare and my obedience to YAHWEH allows Him to go before me and defeat my enemy. The enemy attacks in many ways and I recently learned this term: “New level, new devil” so reading His word regularly and meditating on it helps me draw the right weapon for whatever particular battle I am in. I pray that you all strengthen in standing on the promises of YAHWEH.

Shalom & Berekah!
